I have long been opposed to and highly critical of the war that is taking place in Iraq. During my spare
time, throughout the day, I often surf the net for recent news stories on the Iraq conflict as well as
articles, some of which are listed below. In fact, I am some what obsessed with it. I believe that this
conflict has enormous implications for the shape of history and I would like to do my small part towards
contributing towards intelligent discussion about the special humanitarian problems that this presents.
Among these issues, I am especially concerned with women in Iraq and Veterans, after they return home
and struggle to rebuild their lives and deal with the memories at the same time.
I support a withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, as do most people both in America and overseas, and
we are now are in desperate need of intelligent ideas concerning how to disengage. It is my hope that
we might be able to make a small contribution towards the production of those intelligent ideas together
for a class or academic project that you have which is concerned with Iraq. I am dedicated to the
generation of useful research on how we might go about bringing peace to Iraq and begin going about
healing the wounds of war. And I think that it is important that college students address these issues in
their term papers and professors in published articles.
I promote the development of research about Iraqi women and how they are coping in special ways with
the difficulties associated with the conflict. It is hoped that this space may help to inspire you to study
more about and write an academic project on Iraq veterans or the women of Iraq. I hope that you may
